The Federal Government issued a final rule to modify mandated HIPAA transactions by January 1, 2012. 004010A1 remains the current mandate, but gap analysis, design, development and internal testing should be completed by January 1, 2011 to achieve Level 1 compliance as described in the final rule. The 005010 documents, known as Technical Reports Type 3 (or TR3s), are available at discounts of up to 70% off, as a benefit of ASC X12 membership. Discounts are applied after you login.
